Census Service Manager - ITIL - Edinburgh
Our Client is looking for an experienced Census Service Manager to support the delivery of the operational and technical capabilities to underpin the 2022 Census. They are entering a phase of increased activity as they build out their service management capabilities, including incident and problem management, service desk, disaster recovery and security incident response for Census go live.
This post, working as part of the IT Service Management team will provide the key IT point of contact for Census 2022. You will report directly to the Head of IT Service Management.
Main Responsibilities
As Census Service Manager you will have responsibility for Service introduction (scheduling, chairing meetings, moving forward actions, working with 3rd party suppliers), this will involve multiple SI meetings with the business to embed Census services into the IT support model. The role will be the IT point of contact for Census. You will carry out documentation sign off for test plans and Non Functional Requirements and have involvement in supplier meetings, additionally you will provide BC & DR expertise to the Census programme. You will drive forward delivery of a Service model for Census 2022.
Skills & Experience Required
- Evidence of strong relationship building in your current role
- Experience of Service Introduction on a major change programme and evidence of managing a well governed gate process
- Experience of Business Continuity & Disaster Recover
- The role will require the individual to be experienced in ITIL disciplines
