Java Development Manager
Location & Duration: Remote, 3 months initially with likely contract length 9 months in total
Rate & Engagement: Outside IR35 - to £650 per day
An Investigo partner in the East Midlands and are looking for us to engage a Development Manager with a background in Java on a contract basis to take on a specific development/delivery project that will modernise a business-critical application. It is likely this will be a circa 9-month engagement.
As a consultant you'll be guiding a combination of on shore, near shore and off shore development teams, working with senior stakeholders (both technical and non-technical) in the business and externally to define what is achievable from this project. Following this the plan is to execute, with this consultant driving software delivery as an SME; this will require some (but minimal) hands-on development around quality.
Skills Needed
- A background in leading and managing development/engineering teams for software development projects
- Technical know-how and a thorough understanding of software, cloud and Agile
- Experience leading and improving off shore delivery
- Hands-on experience working with Java and JavaScript - React experience would be a huge benefit
This is an outside IR35 engagement with a day rate on offer of up to £650 per day. Initial contract duration will be 3 months with scope to extend alongside the 6-9 month workstream.
