Infrastructure Engineer/Administrator | 6 Month Contract | London/Remote

We are urgently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible for the maintenance and support of critical hosting architecture.

You ideally will have come from a server, storage and virtualised environment, with proven experience of migration to cloud providers (AWS). You'll focus on the integration of containerization, automation and cloud technologies within the environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of hosting systems including Servers, storage, VMware and operating systems
  • Monitoring the hosting and application environment.
  • Understand deployment scripts, debug where required, and perform log analysis.
  • Help to identify, create and/or implement processes or products to assist in support.
  • Ability to guide to an appropriate level of operational acceptance tests
  • Collaborate with the development and application support teams to understand infrastructure requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience of Enterprise Linux, Microsoft Windows, and Virtualisation
  • Storage technologies (NetApp/EqualLogic/Pure/iSCSI/NFS)
  • Scripting Language experience for example with Python
  • Enterprise monitoring, alerting and logging tools (ELK, Splunk)
  • Strong knowledge of AWS
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP Networking concepts and major protocols.

Contract Details:

  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Location: Remote/London
  • Duration: 6 months
  • Pay Rate: £350-£375 per day (INSIDE IR35)

Please note that due to the change to off payroll working/IR35 legislation, which is due to be implemented in April 2021, the successful applicant would be expected to engage via an FCSA accredited umbrella company for the duration of this contract

Working in a team of five providing cover on a rota between 6:00am and 6:00pm.
