The Cryptography Subject Matter Expert must have experience of:
Cryptography Key Management
Cryptographic Key Renewals Card Schemes/Payments Knowledge
Implementation of PKI, authentication, certificates,
A strong knowledge of Cryptographic Protocols & algorithms
Excellent understanding of security concepts and technologies in the areas of Cryptography (ie key management systems, PKI, HSMs, application cryptography, key material handling, standard and non-standard cryptographic algorithms)
Excellent understanding of Cryptographic Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and their use within cryptographic operations.
Excellent understanding of PCI-DSS and other applicable standards and controls
Basic understanding of the main cryptographic algorithms. (eg Rivest-Shamir-Adleman (RSA), DES, Diffie-Hellman, and their uses in the Financial Services Industry today.
Including a high level understanding of algorithms strengths, weaknesses, vulnerabilities, restrictions, key lengths that can be used and common applications
