Finance Project Manager/Life insurance/Part VII Transfer/GL/Financial Reporting/Technical Accounting/Actuarial/£750/day INSIDE IR35/6 months/Remote until C19 dissipates.
Finance Project Manager required by global life (re)insurer:
Role Accountabilities
- Create robust workstream and Business Unit led project plans including breakdown of deliverables, dependencies and resourcing.
- Manage production of workstream deliverables and ensure that the final deliverables meet acceptance criteria and are delivered within the required timeframe.
- Ensure effective communication is in place to engage and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business and with central project leadership.
- Consider business engagement and end user impact early enough in the change life cycle in order to drive design and delivery.
- Ensure project governance documents including RAID logs are updated and key risks and issues are proactively managed and escalated where appropriate in a timely manner.
- Organise and facilitate meetings, including documentation of minutes/actions and actively seeking closure of actions.
- Produce material for Working Groups, Workstream and Business Unit meetings.
- Provide status updates to central project leadership; PMO and Business Units.
Qualifications & Expertise
- Must have prior experience of managing technical accounting or actuarial change projects and good understanding of financial reporting within a regulated industry
- Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience with project management methodologies in order to work with intricate, multifaceted projects.
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multi-functional project team and make project update presentations.
- Must have team leadership abilities, as well as the capacity to work with teams across functions, geographies and cultures to accomplish overall project goals.
- University degree in an IT or business-related field, as well as a background in applications development and five or more years of experience managing complex projects.
- At least five years of experience managing projects from inception to completion.
- Project management certifications, such as from the PMI (Project Management Institute) are highly recommended.
