Description
A well known IT services organisation are looking to bring on a network field engineer to join their network team to support the BAU aspects of a local government organisation. This person will be responsible for travelling to sites across North Lanarkshire to deal with issues covering; LAN, WAN, Fibre and Devices. When not in the field they will deal with tickets via Servicenow and monitor the network.
The engineer will be provided with a van and equipment to travel to sites to respond to issues, there is an 8 hour SLA for key issues/contacts. The engineer will likely travel to sites most days.
LAN/WAN - Ideally CCNA. Will troubleshoot faults for Routers and Switches, deploy new Routers and Switches, decommission old kit, enable access points
Devices - Configure VOIP phones remotely and in person, decommission phones, install new phones, manage fibre cabling, respond to key issues for VIP phones
CAT5 - test fibre lines, test CAT5, lay/replace CAT5
