Technical Project Manager - NHS experience
3 months contract
Based in Rainham, Essex
£215 per day, inside IR35
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager with NHS experience to join North East London Foundation Trust based in Rainham, Essex.
Responsibilities/Activities
- Delivered End-to-End Projects across a medium to large size organisation (500 end users +)
- Worked within an IT technical background previously for 5 years + and has hands on experience at an infrastructure level.
- Has previously worked within an NHS environment.
- Project Management of IT projects as assigned be the head of infrastructure (NELFT & BHRUT)
- Production of all formal project documentation to the standards defined by the head of infrastructure (NELFT & BHRUT) as Programme Manager and as defined by NHS standards of best practice such as Prince 2 including items such as formal business cases and project initiation documents.
- Responsible to produce project reports to the project board, ensuring escalation reports provided in a timely manner to avoid major disruptions to the project, providing recommendations as and when appropriate.
- Manager project staff which could be comprised of multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide regular reports to key stakeholder and develop communications strategy for projects.
- Set and monitor performance standards of the benefits realisation of the project to ensure that operational and clinical benefits are achieved.
- In-depth understanding and hands on experience od core network/Server/desktop infrastructure (including Cisco/HP/VMware/Windows 7 & 10)
- In-dept understanding of routing and switching
- Basic understanding of security principals
- Appreciation of Server/SAN technologies (including but not limited to HP)
- Understanding of OSI model
- Hands on experience with working within a Datacentre
- Creation of high level and low-level architectural design documents
- Chair meetings and present to large diverse groups of people
- Write clear, concise, and comprehensive documents and reports.
- Work on own initiative in all areas, be capable of making decisions within the remit of the project and take personal responsibility for making things happen.
- Project a confident, positive, and assertive manner in dealing with stakeholders.
- Motivate and coach project staff.
Skills/Experience Required:
- At least 5years' IT project management experience with a responsibility for overall project delivery
- Experience of managing medium scale IT projects leading a team of 10 staff for a duration of at least 2 months.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working within an IT technical environment (Support)
- Minimum 2 years IT health sector experience
- Experience of implementing healthcare systems.
- Experience of business change project management
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- A practitioner qualification in project management such as current PRINCE2 practitioner registration
- ITIL V3
- Strong Knowledge and experience of MS Office Project and Visio
- Desirable: MTA/MCSA certification or relevant experience (5 years)
- Desirable: CCNA Certification or relevant experience (% years +)
