We are for an IT Security Lead to work with the our client in developing their transformation agenda as part of the wider long-term digital security strategy.
Job Title: IT Security Lead
Location: Taunton/Remote
Start: April 2021
Duration: 12 months
Rate: £negotiable
Duties:
- Taking the lead on development and adoption of security transformation
- Set up security operations centre
- Review, development and implementation of intrusion defence systems
- Implement remediation plans to mitigate vulnerabilities
- Identify threats against and vulnerabilities in computer assets
- Monitor the managed security services (ATP, Sentinel) platform and its activities
- Carry out vulnerabilities scanning and ensure that regular penetration tests are performed for any new or changing applications/services/websites/APIs
- Provide assurance on the effectiveness of controls in place to protect company computer systems and the integrity of operational processes supporting them
- Provide security and risk guidance for IT projects, including the evaluation and recommendation of technical controls
Essential experience:
- Background with SIEM systems and a technical understanding
- Proven experience of working in an Agile environment
- Must demonstrate an innovative approach and a focus on modernisation
- Proven experience of managing and delivering IT security-based projects/programmes
