Oracle BI Lead - inside IR35 - 5 months rolling - remote (maybe some onsite in Middlesex)
Our client is urgently seeking an experienced Oracle BI lead to work on a 5 months initial contract which is predominantly remote but may require some travel to Middlesex once offices re-open, based on the specification below:
Principal accountabilities
- Evolve and rationalise the BI Catalogue
- Analyse report requirements and map to Fusion reporting functionality ie standard reports,
- OTBI subject areas, SmartView, etc. etc.
- Identify gaps and spec out BI Publisher reports where required
- Produce proof-of-concepts in OAC, OTBI, BIP and SmartView
- Coach end-users in the production of prototype self-service reports
- Support functional teams with BI aspects of the solution
- Create required Dashboards, including for Benefit tracking
- Carry out Knowledge Transfer activities
Experience
- Extensive Dashboard and BI experience with a demonstrable catalogue of previous work covering complex analysis and dashboards
- Extensive experience of developing custom data warehouse solutions using Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
- Solid experience in SmartView report development. Ideally this would be against Fusion GL.
- Alternatively, experience in Hyperion Budget & Planning, EPBCS or similar
- Extensive experience of developing OBIEE reports and dashboards and design of custom subject areas
- Extensive OAC, ODI (Oracle data integrator), OTBI, BI Publisher and Essbase experience
- At least 2 Fusion ERP project and 15 years+ experience of other ERP implementations (ideally Oracle E-business Suite)
- Needs to have implemented OAC or OBIEE against Oracle ERP
- Ability to understand user requirements with the insight to know when those requirements are incorrectly articulated and the ability to shape them accordingly
- A strong and demonstrable background within Business Intelligence, specifically using Oracle Fusion
- Strong communication skills and not prone to misinterpretation. Ability to work off own initiative.
- Global/multinational ERP implementation experience
- Oracle Cloud experience
