If so, my client are on the lookout for a Senior Java Developer/Tech Lead to undertake a crucial role in a large Public Sector project based in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
As a result, the candidate would need to demonstrate a strong technical background in Java Development working in an AWS cloud based environment. In addition, strong skills with Microservices, Maven, Spring, Java 8+, GIT/BitBucket, Jenkins.
This position also requires good team leading skills in order to work with a mixed on/off-shore team in a multi supplier environment.
This is a minimum 8 month contract with strong possibilities of further extensions. This is paying up to £550 p/d (Inside IR35).
This role is initially working remotely, however the candidate will be required to visit their Newcastle based offices post Covid.
Ideally the candidate should have SC Clearance, if not be eligible to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Coding, unit testing, PR review/approval, progression and management of code through environments into production, mentoring and developing team members.
- Ability to be hands-on when required is essential in this role.
- The candidate will be working as a technical lead for a new Scrum team developing & supporting services in a large complex Microservices based architecture hosted completely on AWS.
