Your experience as a an Engineer with Ruby development experience, as well as some experience working on large scale AWS infrastructure, will enable you to come into a hyper-growth environment to solve a number of unique and difficult problems.
In order to tackle these unique challenges you will need to write clean idiomatic code in Ruby, as the majority of the problems you'll be solving will be fixed in Ruby. This, however, is not a Ruby development role per se, rather a Platform Engineering/SRE role, in the most modern sense. This means you will have decent AWS experience as well Ruby development.
As part of the Production Engineering team you will be working on the client's Infra as code, upgrading and assisting a significant refactor for performance and ease of use as well as working with their deployment tooling to help mature its understanding of deployments from a single deployable infra to multiple instances. So the usual AWS, Docker, Infrastructure at scale is necessary, but with confidence writing code in Ruby.
