Application Support Analyst, contract, Banking, London
Our client, a large global bank is looking for an Application Support Analyst to join their centralised Application Support Team on a contract basis. You will be looking after all front, middle and Back Office applications.
As an Application Support Analyst you'll be providing 1st line support to the business operations by maintaining and implementing business and time critical applications and liaising closely with the Head Office, providing BAU support.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide BAU/1st line support ensuring the integrity and availability of applications.
- Provide regular audit and compliance information.
- Timely management of service desk requests ensuring SLA's.
- Responsible for preparing system support documentation as required.
- Provide support to business users in terms of application functionality and recovery of application failures.
- Dedicated technical expertise and support on the banks front, middle and Back Office application suite as required.
- Identify and remediate recurring incidents - root cause analysis, Problem, Change and Incident management within an ITIL environment.
Key Skills
- Application Support experience is essential, ideally within a financial services or banking environment.
- Experience in Linux, Windows and SQL.
- Experience supporting SWIFT MQ, IBM MQ or Message Broker, Splunk
- Excellent communications skills and comfortable liaising with senior stakeholders.
- Experience as an Application Support Analyst supporting a high number of users.
