Contract Position (Inside ir35)
Oracle DBA
- Should have solid experience in DB with experience in playing as DBA
- Play Major Role in Oracle database maintenance monitoring and tuning activities
- Install and configure new databases based on best practices
- Perform day to day database administration on existing databases including implementing patches and upgrades as needed Work with development team in optimizing SQLs
- Participate as a member of the engineering teams for database related tasks
- Develop test and implement the appropriate backup procedures
- Design test and implement Oracle high availability solutions
- Maintain effective database performance monitoring procedures
- Perform database tuning for optimal performance to meet Business SLAs Control and monitor user access to databases and maintain database security
Good to have
- Experience in Oracle Cloud (OAC)
- Maintain documentation of systems and standard operating policies and procedures
- Provide technical assistance and mentor junior members of the team
- Be available for rotating on call
- Excellent Communication skills - be able to articulate and present Technical design to Senior leadership, Architects. Be able to defend his/her design decisions.
- Self driving, requiring no or minimal supervision
Key skills include:
- Computer Science and/or Engineering degrees are preferred while other degree subjects may be considered
- A well-rounded academic background is important
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Problem solving ability
