Portfolio Manager

£600 - £650 a day (in scope of IR35)
Our client is looking for a Portfolio Manager to join their company on a 3-6 month contract who will be responsible for a portfolio of 30 projects, some in-flight and some at inception. You will need to be from a PMO or Service Delivery/Service Management background within IT Infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities as a Portfolio Manager:
* Senior stakeholder management
* Representing IT Infrastructure in key monthly review meetings
* Understanding and challenging report status from PMs
* Managing and following up on escalations
* Running and facilitating meetings to come up with high level view of projects from Infrastructure perspective
* Support project process and resource demand expectations
* A portfolio of 30 projects, some in-flight and some at inception.
* Building relationships with key contacts within Allianz UK business and IT teams
* (virtually) Meeting with these contacts regularly to understand pipeline or projects and demand for resource from the client (the infrastructure side of projects) - understanding what input is needed and scoping this
* Acting as an escalation point for any project managers or issues in projects
* Challenging stakeholders based on demand, capacity and timescales as well as Project Managers based on their activity and progress
* Reviewing PMs monthly reports for their Red/Amber/Green status and understanding any issues which could prevent them hitting deadlines and budgets and helping PMs to rectify issues
