Freelance Cloudera Data Platform Architect
Duration: 30 days
Location: Remote
Start Date: 19th April
I am working with a client that is seeking an experienced Cloudera Data Platform Architect for an initial 30-day engagement. The project can be done fully remote, but you must be able to start on 19th of April.
- Gain common understanding of key drivers and problem statement from all stakeholders
- Review current state information using completed assessment questionnaire and existing environment review
- Detailed analysis of workloads considering business continuity/SLA
- Identify a set of representative workloads for the pilot migration
- Finalize scope, requirements and success criteria Deploy & Secure CDP Cluster Deployment & Security
- Review prerequisites and confirm requirements are met - Review security architecture, policies and auditing requirements, and provide information and recommendations on how the Cloudera platform can meet them
- Deploy and Secure Cloudera Data Platform
- Data Center (CDP-DC) software via Ansible playbook on one (1) cluster, and related base components as required (provided under separate licenses)
- Configuring Kerberos for user authentication, interfacing directly to Customer's Active Directory instance
- Configuring wire encryption and data at-rest encryption for the Cloudera cluster as required. This includes enabling TLS/SSL for wire encryption and Ranger KMS for at-rest data encryption
- Configuring Atlas for data governance
- Perform Cloudera Platform tests and benchmarking including standard performance tests to detect bottlenecks and suggest improvements Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
- Knowledge transfer on cluster management and migration guidance, including an overview of best practices
