Data Analyst - SQL - Home based initially - Inside IR35.

My client is looking to recruit a Data Analyst to help them make the right operational decisions. As a data professional you are are intellectually curious, passionate about making a difference, and a great communicator able to explain difficult technical concepts to operational users.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Take responsibility for the creation, development, and use of key analytics, dashboards, or reports.
  • Obtain data from datasets, and use your visualisation experience to develop appropriate analytics. Generate business-relevant, actionable insights.
  • Support MIS production as required: drive insight stories support on data analysis designs support on specific data creation and data manipulation (including writing useful documentation that encourages exploitation by others).
  • Constructively challenge and create recommendations, based on solid analysis. My client needs insight to make the right operational decisions.
  • Supporting the service reporting system that produces complex automated reports on a monthly basis. Ensuring that the Service Reporting application is maintained and developed within the requirements of the reporting team.
  • Develop new applications and capabilities within the Reporting Infrastructure. Utilising appropriate technologies that can be supported internally and externally to the team.
  • Managing reporting database to ensure the appropriate amount of data is collected and stored. Ensuring data quality and integrity performing regular testing and documentation.
  • Design, develop and manages the process for management of data and Reporting infrastructure for the customer base (approx. 4,500 customers and 500,000 assets).
  • Expert at SQL with in-depth knowledge to enable code to run effectively and efficiently ensuring the routine is fully optimised.
  • Good understanding of Database management with knowledge of the structure, procedures and collection routines. In-depth understanding on how to hold data and the best possible structure for the best possible use
  • Good understand of the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data to ensure that new and existing data is loaded in the database the most optimised way without compromising the data integrity
  • Good problem-solving mindset that can identify the best way of overcoming challengers. Utilising approved and existing tools/solutions in their appropriate way. Technically proficient to designing, implementing and document any new solution.
