Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: Dublin 18, Ireland
Duration: 1 year Contract
Client is looking for an experienced Data Engineer who can help us maintain and expand our Data Warehouse. Our data warehouse stack is built on Oracle for data storage, Informatica for ETL and OBIEE/Tableau for data visualisation. The candidate must have practical hands-on experience with each of these tools.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years proven experience working with Oracle DBMS and Informatica ETL tools. Experience programming with PL/SQL is essential.
- Intermediate Python Knowledge
- 2+ years proven experience with Tableau or OBIEE BI tools
- Good experience with dimensional modelling concepts
- Experience using DAC in conjunction with Informatica
- Excellent communicator with the ability to gather requirements and feedback.
- Documentation skills with ability to create Entity Relationship Diagrams and Source to Target mappings.
- Design, build and deploy new data extraction, transformation, loading and deployment
- Enhance and migrate the existing process running in production
- Knowledge of Linux Shell Scripting
- Must have worked with automated CI/CD tools and patterns.
DESIRABLE SKIILS & EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working with Agile methodologies.
- AWS familiarity, especially with batch data ingestion
- Knowledge of redshift and AWS storage services
