Master Data Management Lead - Customer Data
An organisation have embarked on a new strategy for data and require a Master Data Management lead to assist them on the journey. The approach to mastering data will include detailed designs, functional and technical requirements, high level process maps illustrating new ways of working and lead to the definition of high-level data requirements for a number of new systems. The result of this assignment is to contribute to the business case for a new tool and sign on the programme to implement. The 3 key areas of focus are client data, finance data and product data, with previous experience of client or customer data being the most important.
Deliverables:
- Data requirements and process data designs/maps to achieve a target state for finance, customer and product data
- Designs for the 'To Be' state including high level business process data flows and master data requirements
- Recommendation to achieve ongoing data stewardship and governance of the master data elements
- Engage in the development of processes and solutions, utilising existing technologies or recommending new technologies, to assist in the validation and maintenance of the ongoing accuracy of the master data records
- Input into the design of the master data system/reference architecture with Technology
- Provide expertise and engage analysts assigned to achieve outcomes
- Work collaboratively with other transformation programmes and support alignment of the above requirements, process designs/maps to enable achievement of their data outcomes
- Outline high level requirements for the 2022 portfolio of work, where the focus will be the implementation of changes to implement and improve the use of master data
- Input and guidance to the Central Data Stewards to enable enhancements to be made to the enterprise data catalogue
Experience:
- Demonstrate considerable experience gathering and assessing business requirements in relation to mastering data and determining data quality needs
- Be experienced in directing process and organisational change discussions, communicating solutions and design trade-offs to business stakeholders, and making recommendations to ensure proper data stewardship is in place.
- Have extensive experience working within projects, from requirements gathering through to execution and created and implemented enterprise wide master data solutions.
- Recent experience of client facing Business Intelligence reporting and analysis development
- Be knowledgeable about information architecture frameworks including the major building blocks of data sourcing, integration/movement, persistence, master data management, metadata management and semantic reconciliation, data governance, security, and delivery of these.
