Harvey Nash are now inviting candidates to apply for the role of Python Developer - for a 12-month contract (PAYE) at £230 a day, located in Glasgow (remote work for now) to work for a financial services organisation. This is a Junior - Mid position, suitable for candidates with 2 - 3 years of commercial experience of python development.
The Assignment
Working within The Infrastructure-as-a-Service Engineering group, this group is responsible for designing and implementing global Linux and Virtualization infrastructure for our client's organisation. The group is involved in evaluation, certification, integration, and maintenance of numerous products. These hands-on roles require engineers, with experience using declarative configuration-as-code principles and extensive automation across a mixture of strategic engineering and design projects. The role will involve feature addition, configuration, tuning and troubleshooting of the existing Linux platform management systems as well as work directly with Linux O/S configuration and builds.
Other than experience of developing in Python, we are looking for the following experience:
