Our client, a leading retail bank is looking for experienced QA/QC Analyst with at least 18 months financial crime CDD experience with accreditations in financial crime.

What does this role involve:

  • Conducts quality assurance file reviews of CDD cases in accordance with agreed procedures highlighting any financial crime risks
  • Reviewing the adequacy of QA tests regularly and keeps up to date with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Identifies any process gaps within the QA review to ensure that areas of concern are addressed and resolved
  • Monitor and produce progress reports to identify failures, trends and development needs analysis to ensure the CDD community are building growing knowledge and capability, across Ops, QC and QA.
  • Through effective QA completion and reporting, contribute to ensuring that the Bank's risk appetite is being adhered to.
  • Proactive identification and effective management and/or escalation of any conduct risks to deliver key customer outcomes
  • Identify any risks in the QA function ensuring mechanisms are in place to identify, report, manage and mitigate risk within defined risk appetite.

Purpose of Role

  • Contribute to the CDD Quality Assurance agenda
  • To adhere to a robust QA function for all CDD processes across all locations delivering quality assurance methods against both internal & external standards/policy
  • Maintain a review function of QA outputs, considering trends and thematic findings to further develop control methods and the capability of the centres across Ops, QC and QA
  • Utilise your knowledge of processes, systems and products to identify straightforward issues and trends to implement basic solutions. Support CDD team objectives to ensure they are fully compliant with the relevant QA standards which have been set to ensure a fair and appropriate outcome for all cases
  • Working independently from but with a collaborative approach with Ops and QC colleagues.

Skills and experience:

  • Knowledge and experience of the Banking industry, regulatory and commercial environment, preferably with previous risk & controls experience
  • Experience of being part of a QA function within a CDD/AML environment having experience of both KYB & KYC as well as knowledge of the Banks AML Policies and Regulatory requirements
  • Hold or obtain an ICA AML at advanced level of equivalent
  • Attention to detail and be able to prioritise to ensure testing is completed efficiently and effectively
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written
