Integrity ITS is working with a consultant who is recruiting a contract Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join them on an initial 6 months.
Responsibilities:
- Takes the lead on the delivery of work items in the sprint for the team, working autonomously to engage key stakeholders, ensuring all decisions satisfy risk appetite and managing controlled delivery.
- Design and automate infrastructure to support the business goals and objectives while adhering to the IT architecture and Information Security principles (Loosely coupled architectures and secure by design)
- Design and develop infrastructure automation, including CI/CD pipelines using Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, IAAS (terraform), Azure pipelines and Powershell
- Define and document improvement opportunities, highlighting value and risk mitigation options
- Design and build pipelines that are secure by design
- Supports cloud architecture and process improvement
- Troubleshoot existing cloud-based solutions to resolve incidents
- Provide strategic insight and input to the team in developing and enhancing build and deployment strategies
Key skills:
- Between 6-10 years' experience applying cloud engineering skills in a commercial environment
- 5-10 years Sysadmin, proven experience in delivery or experienced 3rd line Support
- 3-5 years of Cloud experience (ideally Azure cloud, Containers, AKS, Serverless)
- Experience of designing infrastructure solutions utilising Cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Infrastructure Automation and configuration management
- Scripting (JSON, PowerShell, Bash, YAML)
- Experience of working within a DevOps/Agile environment
- Experience of mentoring and coaching Infrastructure Engineers
