Description

Our client require an experience Software Development Engineer Tester (Outside IR35) who will be responsible for contributing to platform development built in Go/Golang. This platform capability provides a highly visual synthetic environment that is at the forefront of technology development. To be considered you must be competent in Go/Golang software programming/development with solid testing skills (SDET). Indicative skills; Solid, demonstrable, experience of coding in Go/Golang and some of its associated testing tools and frameworks (you will be asked to get hands on as part of the interview process to show us what you can do!) (Essential), Experience working on the development of test tools, frameworks and harnesses in a modern, cloud-based software environment. (Experience of Kubernetes, Docker and Bazel tooling or similar an advantage) (Essential), Built cloud based test automation frameworks and toolsets from one or more of the following perspectives: API, Websocket, integration, end-to-end and/or performance. (Essential), Habitually take a risk-based approach to testing to support the more challenging decisions around automation (Essential), Accustomed to guiding your delivery team in the decomposition of requirements to make them testable, Track record of mentoring developers and testers in Go related building, testing and integration practices (Essential), An effective communicator who is able to justify the business or technical decisions for the automation (or not) that are taken (Essential), Track record of improving the release processes of the delivery teams via the identification and resolution of any bottlenecks that prevent faster and more frequent releases (Desired), Have been hands on releasing software in production via continuous integration and delivery systems such as Jenkins, Buildkite, or other commercial solutions (Desired)
