Network Engineer
Contract - £194pd (Inside IR35)
3 month period

Badenoch + Clark is partnering with a public sector organisation who is looking to engage a Network Engineer on an initial 3 month contract with very likely extensions.
The post is to ensure that corporate Networks are secured and managed effectively, provide Networking, Wireless, Voice, Video and Firewall skills in the development, implementation, configuration and maintenance of network systems.
Duties and responsibilities:-
* Undertake the support of networks, covering routine housekeeping/maintenance/backup duties, configuration management, change management and problem management.
* Assist in the strategic planning and development of new Network communications services
* Project manage the assessment, planning and implementation of communication networks.
* Undertake the development, planning, and implementation of communication networks.
* Provide advice and consultancy on the procurement, implementation, operation and maintenance of communication networks.
* Take day-to-day responsibility for specific development work on network and computer systems.
Skills and experience:-
* Network (HP, Brocade, Cisco Switches/Routers)
* Wi-Fi (HP Aruba)
* Firewall Configuration (Fortigate)
* Web Filtering (Barracuda)
* DHCP/DNS experience
* IP scopes/VLANs
* Network monitoring - resolving performance issues
* Logging calls with network 3rd Parties and tracking progress, etc.
* Telephony
* Dealing with day to day network calls - logged via the Service Desk System
These roles will fall in scope for IR35 so will require candidates to work via an Umbrella Company or PAYE.
