Job location: Pangbourne, Reading (mainly remote)

Industry: media, communication, gas & oil

Employment type: contract (13 months)

Daily rate: £350 - £380

The opportunity:

We are currently searching for a Media and Communications Specialist for our client, a global gas and oil company. You will ensure that a consistent media and communications strategy is deployed across the Performance Unit and you'll be responsible for the management of all owned properties (social, website etc). The role acts as digital communication Subject Matter Expert for the Performance Unit.

What you'll do:

  • Support the development and execution of media plans, branded content, sponsorship activation and PR to support KPI delivery across spaces. Responsible for all owned properties (social, site, etc.)
  • Execute the digital ecosystem strategy inclusive of website, SEO/SEM, creation of social plan, content calendar and CRM
  • Work closely with Brand and Comms, Service and Maintenance and Country/Market teams to understand business requirements for owned properties, prioritizing activities in line with marketing plans and strategy, developing the digital plan for owned properties and project managing the execution
  • Work directly with creative agencies to update owned property content
  • You'll be responsible for the administrative management of digital, content, media and promotional agencies. Ensures approvals are granted in a timely fashion and that processes and standards including brand, ethics and compliance and NPR are upheld.
  • Analyze data to uncover behavioral insights that will lead to improvements in communication and process flow
  • Develop and measure performance with robust KPI's; monitor and report to provide regular status updates to stakeholders
  • Manage a development budget for any recommended change initiatives
  • You'll be responsible for ensuring GDPR compliance within digital touch-points.
  • Identify and test new digital channels and digital engagement activity for Media, Brand PR & Sponsorship activation

What you have:

  • Strong project management and stakeholder relationship management skills
  • Developing and implementing creative content choices
  • Translating strategy into plans
  • Using market research effectively
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in digital marketing
  • Experience of working with digital agencies
  • Experience of working with Media agencies desirable
  • Capable of strategic thinking and thought leadership
  • Evidence of effective networking and relationship building skills both internally and externally
  • University degree or relevant professional experience
