Applications Support Analyst - (Finance)

Our client, A leading global supplier for IT services, requires a Applications Support Analyst with a background in the Finance industry to be based in their client's offices in London. You can work remotely until Covid abates.

This is 6 months temporary contract, to start on 1st May 2021.

The successful applicant will work in the Technology Solutions Application Support team in the IT Solutions Department.

You will be allocated work via the Service Now incident management application and will face off to the Business across the business areas (eg Front Office, settlement, etc.). You will work independently as well as alongside SME's, BA's, developers, 3rd party vendors, release management and SIT testers.

Key Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • The successful applicant will work in the Technology Solutions Application Support team in the IT Solutions Department.
  • You will be allocated work via the Service Now incident management application and will face off to the Business across the business areas (eg Front Office, settlement, etc.) and work independently as well as alongside SME's, BA's, developers, 3rd party vendors, release management and SIT testers.
  • 5 Years + relevant experience.
  • Familiar with industry standard ITIL processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow would be an advantage but training will be provided
  • A knowledge of Wealth Management, its workings and the finance industry in general would be extremely advantageous.
  • A broad knowledge of all systems used within the company and the Wealth industry as a whole would be of great assistance in this role.
  • FISCAL is the core system, any previous experience on this system would be an advantage.
  • Pulse is the Client Portfolio Management tool, any previous experience on this system would be an advantage.
  • Other systems where a good understanding of the functionality and processes involved include: Proquote and Web applications.
  • Other useful skills would be an understanding of simple UNIX/LINIX commands, familiarity with standard desktop application.
  • Microsoft Web Environment (IIS, XML, Html)
  • Any exposure to SimCorp Coric would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Good organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to comprehend technical documents.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Cast iron integrity in all dealings, both internal and external
  • Ability to use logic and analytical methods to solve difficult problems.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage and drive multiple tasks through to a successful conclusion.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships, has excellent communication skills, an approachable personality and is a team player.
