Senior Principle AWS Engineer
Our client, a global supplier for IT services, requires two experienced Senior Principle AWS Engineers to join their clients' office in Croydon.
This is 6-12 month temporary contract, to start ASAP. You can work remotely until Covid abates.
Key responsibilities:
O Develop & maintain Infrastructure platform automation & support scripts (mainly in Terraform) & Python
o Build and maintenance of Highly available and scalable solution on AWS micro-services like on ECS, EKS, Fargate
o Good knowledge on API and SDKs & on Terraform, Terraform modules, Python (Advance), Serverless, Packer
o Extensive knowledge and experience and act as an SME for cloud technologies (AWS) and advocate standards and best practices to be applied
o Support in automation like environment provisioning, S/W patching, other infrastructure related activities
o 50% of time in technical leadership & roadmap, 30% of time in architecture design & code review & rest 20% in coding & self-contribution to sprints
Key Skills/Knowledge:
o Excellent AWS experience (5+ years)
o Certified AWS Solutions Architect - Associate
o AWS Services: R53, ECS, IAM, EC2, EFS, ECR, RDS, ElastiCache, LB, VPC (Advanced), WAF, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Landing Zone
o Terraform, packer
o HA Proxy/Nginx
o Python (advanced)
o Windows Server Services: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS
o Linux (advanced)
o Docker
Experience required:
- Overall 10+ years of experience with 5+ years in AWS
- Terraform in platform engineering & IaC code development
- DevOps tools
- Test automation
- Agile sprint based delivery
