We are looking a talented and passionate QA engineer to join our professional services team to contribute to the software
development life cycle of next generation user interfaces
In this role you will be responsible for testing and identifying deficiencies with features and bug fixes developed by the engineering team. You will also follow approved life cycle methodologies, create appropriate documentation, designing, writing & executing test cases.
Responsibilities
- Understanding the architecture of the product and ensuring quality of our software is of the highest quality.
- Understanding and breaking down requirements to enable the design, writing, and execution of test cases.
- Maintaining test plans and reviewing reported issues to identify areas for improvement.
- Verification of new features developed by the engineering teams and working with product owners to challenge any gaps in requirements.
- Verify the behavior of bug fixes developed by the engineering teams with the ability to identify areas that may be impacted by a software change.
- Be involved in the development of end-to-end automated test cases
Essential skills
- 5 years + manual testing specifically testing user interfaces
- Experience of working in an agile development environment.
- Previous QA experience testing software for the Television/Set Top Boxes (STB).
- Automation - Experience developing end to end automated test cases, ideally using Python.
