Business Analyst - Manufacturing
Our client, a global supplier for IT services, requires a Business Analyst to join their team in their clients' office in the West Midlands. You can work remotely until Covid abates.
This is 6 months temporary contract to start ASAP.
Role Description
To provide support to the product owner by helping them analyse the business domain, stocking the product backlog, and grooming the product backlog.
Key Responsibilities
- In collaboration with a Product Owner, Business Analyst is responsible for defining the EPIC into user and tech stories including dataflow diagrams and use cases (Technical Scope)
- Sizing of user and tech stories, updating them based on team feedback and prioritization of the sub system backlog (Estimation & Backlog grooming)
- Works closely with the Scrum Master & the Agile development team to ensure the actual build is going according to plan
- Participates in the planning and implementation strategies for quality management and testing
- Support in resolving requirements and technical issues with internal and external stakeholders
Key Skills Requirements
- A minimum of four years' experience in software, system and/or business analysis
- Knowledge of Agile Methodology
- Ability to act as liaison between users/clients and the software development team
- The ability to communicate effectively with non-technical users
- Problem-solving analytical skills, persona development and journey mapping
- Excellent knowledge of PC based computer systems, including Jira, Word/Docs, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, etc
- Experience in working on its own as well as part of large team
- Experience in solving analytical problems in manufacturing industries is a plus point
