SQL Administrator
Our client, a global supplier for IT services, requires a SQL Administrator to join their team in their clients' office in Leamington Spa/Warwickshire.
This is 5 months temporary contract to start 26th April 2021.
The right candidate must be willing to travel between Warwick, Leamginton Spa and the West Midlands. With flexibility with some level for on-call/weekend support depending on project's schedule.
Key responsibilities
- SQL Database Administration, and support of Servers environment in a mission critical and highly available environment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in SQL Landscape
- System technical documentation for existing and new builds/configuration
Key Skills/Knowledge:
- Manage SQL Server databases
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security
- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in Real Time
- manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of a database
- Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
- Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
- Install and maintain the performance of SQL database Servers. Develop processes for optimizing database security
- Performance tuning of database systems
- Install, upgrade, and manage database applications
- Experience with migration of SQL database within different SQL versions
- Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors
- Recommend and implement emerging database technologies
- Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards
- Create automation for repeating database tasks
- Negotiable on number of years as long as candidate matches the skill set as defined
- Strong Communication and Documentation Skills
