Solvency II Reporting Lead - London - £850 - £860
The work location is London.
The duration of the contract is 12 months.
The pay rate on offer is between £850 - £860 per day.
Role Description
Leading the Solvency II regulatory reporting activities and capital modelling projects for the client's UK and Europe business. Streamlining and automating processes to develop an efficient Solvency II reporting framework.
Technical Provisions
- Lead the quarterly production of Solvency II reserves and producing results packs and management information for key stakeholders
- Work closely with Finance to ensure Solvency II data standards are met and continue to help improve the quality of the data feeding into the technical provision process
- Manage the review process with UK & EMEA Chief Actuaries and other key stakeholders
- Production of Quarterly Regulatory Templates Actuarial need to populate on a Quarterly basis
Capital Model Calibration
- Maintaining and develop a key set of templates which will be used as part of the calibration process
- Driving consistency in calibration assumptions and support the team with any ad hoc analyses
- Ensure that the client's calibration process meets Solvency II requirements for an Internal Model firm
Actuarial Function Reporting
- Assist in the underwriting opinion and reinsurance opinion as part of the Actuarial Function reporting requirements to the client's UK and European board
- Ensure that the appropriate information is sent and queries answered for the Technical Provisions Opinion
Efficiencies Development
- Agree developments to improve the efficiency of reporting with Chief Actuaries and key stakeholders
- Lead the development to create streamlined and efficient Solvency II processes
Other
- Assist in preparing response to ad-hoc queries/requests from the regulators and rating agencies
Technical Skills and Expertise
The Candidate Should Have:
- BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- Qualified member of an Actuarial Institute or equivalent experience
- Significant experience of Solvency II regulatory framework
- Proven proficiency in actuarial concepts/methodologies
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong business and collaboration skills; responsive to service needs and operational demands
- Expertise in Excel, SQL, Access, VBA, or other programming languages
- Effective time management and organizational skills
