Digital Design Specialist - London based

Inside of IR35 - £375 per day - Rolling 1 month Contract

Our client is looking to recruit a Digital Design Specialist to transform the way that their website works for their business and their on a quest to improve traffic, conversion for key journeys and end user satisfaction across the board. They therefore need a team of digital professionals to come together across multiple disciplines to transform our key digital experiences.

We looking for a digital design specialist who's able to work for our client to design world class experiences that their developers can bring to life. You'll be working with product owners to understand business and customer problem statements to turn them into digital requirements, working with end users to validate the requirements and designs through wireframing techniques, turning them into pixel perfect designs and then be the design authority when developers work to codify your designs and release them onto the website. You'll see your designs all the way from concept through to delivery and beyond.

There's a number of core journeys that they need to focus in on - their availability checker is a destination for users to understand more about the often confusing world of service availability, their help and support channels are key to helping end users understand how to resolve issues, their careers website is critical to recruit the talent required to build and maintaitheirr fantastic network and brochure pages need to demystify what it is they do and how they do it.

Accountabilities

  • Helping to shape and create our Brand Design System to be build on their Adobe Experience Manager platform
  • Understanding problem statements across the business, shaped by data and insight and coming up with digital experiences alongside their product manager to fix them
  • Creating experiences that also delight their users and help to change the perception of their Brand through world class digital experiences
  • Designing wireframes to validate with end users, and helping shape any user research sessions we may run with their partner Bunnyfoot - We're happy for you to use whatever wireframing tool does the job.
  • You'll be working with their copywriter and their production manager to make sure that their bringing their SEO friendly, Accessibile and on brand content to life.
  • You'll turn these wireframes into pixel perfect visual designs before handing them across to their development team to build.
  • You'll work with their Development team (partnered with EPAM) to bring these designs to life, and will sign off that the output meets your designs.

Skills required

  • Passionate about digital design - you'll eat, sleep and breathe design, knowing all of the latest trends and how to bring outside thinking and ideas in to our organisation.
  • You're a problem solver - you take time to understand the commercial or customer problem we're trying to fix, backed up with data and insight - so you'll wed your creativity with analytical skills.
  • Great E2E Design experience - From concept to live measurement, you'll have tonnes of hands on experience in delivering UX and Visual design
  • User centricity - you'll be the voice of the customer in our squad, you'll know what works for them and ensure to design to their needs.
  • We'll need to see a portfolio of work - ideally containing work undertaken for large corporations or FTSE 100 organisations.

Experience required

  • Experience of working in agile development teams (our client work in 3 week Scrum sprints)
  • Experience of using wireframing prototyping and visual design tools.
  • Experience in creating experiences that adhere to WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards and guidelines
  • Experience in creating experiences that include micro interactions to delight and excite customers.
  • Experience in telco background is preferable but not necessary.
  • Experience in working within brand identify and guidelines, with the ability to push the boundaries when required.
  • Experience in IT Information Architecture is useful
  • Thought leader and strong insight on web best pratice
  • Knowledge of agency creative processes and ability to manage the creative process independently and to extremely high quality is required.
