Job Purpose and primary objectives:
Micro service API QA Automation Tester
Key responsibilities (please specify if the position is an individual one or part of a team):
. QA roles within the team are all about ensuring the quality of the software and solutions being delivered within the team.
. All testing is fully automated and the QA team are responsible for authoring the functional and non-functional automations in the CI/CD pipelines used by the team.
. The main automation framework in use is Cucumber JVM for functional testing as well as Gatling and other security tooling on the non-functional side.
Key Skills/Knowledge:
- Webservice Automation testing experience
- Behaviour Driven Design (BDD)
- Cucumber JVM/Gherkin
- API based testing
- GIT
- Java
- Agile
- CI/CD pipelines
- SOAP XML testing
- Good understand of Stub/mock based testing
- Understanding of testing REST webservices
- AWS testing experience - checking CloudWatch logs
Experience required:

1.  Maven
2. Jenkins
3. IntelliJ
4. Postman experience
5. Other development languages and tooling (Scripting)
6. Infrastructure automation
7. Cloud security (network perimeter, and related security services WAF/API Gateways etc.)
8. Retail scale load management - pro-active monitoring, capacity management, 24x7 uptime
9. Designing and testing for failure
