Rates- £893.04 pay rate per day

Summary:
We are looking now for an Enterprise Architect in a contract position to cover the Utility Networks domain, including asset management, work management and (utility) network operations functions.

Responsibilities:
Analyse the business strategy and intended goals, define the business, application, information, and technology architectures to deliver the required outcomes.
Working with the clients Enterprise Architecture team, you will define solution portfolios and roadmaps, supporting the evolution of the clients architecture from current to future state for your own domain and the SSE-wide view.

You will make well-researched and timely recommendations of the appropriate application and technology components, in line with the clients strategic direction.

You will assist in programme intake planning, estimating and scheduling as well as functioning as a Solution Architect within the pre-project phases of an IT program, including oversight of future state designs and assuring solutions adhere to architecture principles and the target architecture.

Skills:
You will demonstrate proven ability and experience in working with executive levels, defining and communicating value from Information Technology in a way that is relevant and compelling for a business audience.
You will have a pragmatic approach to balancing long term (strategic) and short-term implications of individual proposals and decisions, working with agile delivery teams.
You will have significant experience in developing architecture roadmaps and driving delivery against these roadmaps.
You will already be familiar with, and have experience in, applying architecture frameworks and any related architecture development methods, such as TOGAF.

Experience with Asset and Work Management applications architectures will be a distinct advantage, as will experience of the regulatory framework for the UK Utilities industry. Practical experience in SoftwareAG Alfabet or other Enterprise Architecture portfolio management systems will also be an advantage.
