Description
Our client is looking for a Front End Web Developer to join team to help out with a rebrand and re-skin of an existing website.
Reporting to the Head of Development, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of websites and applications, employing best practices at all stages of the full development life cycle.
This will be an initial 3 - 6 month contract with a view to extend thereafter. The role will be remote work from home.
You will work alongside the UX Designer and the Back/Front End Developers and be responsible for delivering high quality, efficient code which conforms to modern web standards.
Skills/Experience needed:
- Extensive experience of Front End development
- Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Detailed JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks with excellent understanding of CSS & HTML5
- Experience of setting and coding to Front End development standards, CMS and building large scale web solutions
- Knowledge of version control systems (preferably GIT) and team workflows
- Keen interest in the latest Front End development techniques and frameworks
- High attention to detail and a passion for delivering outstanding work considering accessibility, usability, performance and creating the overall end user experience
- Stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple stakeholders
- You will have experience of working on product based applications across desktop, web and mobile
- Be a proactive team player who excels when working collaboratively and enjoys sharing knowledge
- Ideally qualified to degree level
