Cloud Architect - AWS - INSIDE IR35 - FULLY REMOTE ROLE
My is undergoing a project to migrate it's applications to a multi-cloud platform (AWS, primarily, and Azure) from their on premise data centres with the data centres scheduled for decommissioning by the end of the year.
The applications in scope are largely off the shelf packages and have a mix of IT-led and business-led support models. The key part of the migration will be the core SAP ERP system's migration to the cloud which has a large number of dependencies across the estate. As part of the application migration we are looking at opportunities to make our workloads as cloud native as possible. The team is a mixture of internal resources and a 3rd party who are contracted to carry out the migrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating, supporting, reviewing and/or approving application IaaS, and PaaS cloud native solution designs in AWS where appropriate
- Supporting the application roadmap of change for applications post Cloud Migration
- Understanding integration roadmap, SaaS & cloud architecture for application internal and external integration
- Supporting AWS cloud native services leveraged by the application stack
- Ensure alignment with EA, Applications, and general IT Strategy
Experience
- Good experience of designing complex application landscapes (ERP applications a requirement including SAP)
- Good knowledge of application architecture and integrations for (CRM, ERP, BI, & Custom applications)
- Experience of designing ERP & BI solutions in an AWS cloud environment
- Significant experience implementing best practice security practices integrating applications internally and externally
- A strong understanding of cloud technologies and the cloud native model
