Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Content Editor for an initial 9-12 month contract on a rate of £300/day (inside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances this role will be remote based for the foreseeable future.

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced communications professional who is enthusiastic about getting the message across and is a great writer.
Working within a team of Intranet and digital engagement specialists, the successful candidate will be passionate about great content and improving Intranet usability. They will have the confidence to provide advice and support to users across the organisation, and promote the benefits of digital collaborative working.

Responsibilities:

Working with subject matter experts to assess user needs and produce new content which is easy to read and conveys information clearly and concisely
Managing and prioritising content change requests
Dealing with user reported problems through our IT portal
Working with the rest of the team to continue to improve the site, including helping to prioritise and test developments

Excellent writing skills - including impeccable spelling and grammar - and the ability to convey complex information in a concise and easily understandable manner, often to tight deadlines
Good organisational skills, the ability to manage a busy workload and juggle competing priorities while working on your own initiative and taking responsibility for your own work
Problem solving - ability and willingness to research a problem, seek solutions and work with the team and Intranet developers to implement these
The ability to influence colleagues and - where necessary - the confidence to stand up to more senior colleagues to ensure the principles (user needs and task focussed) continue to be implemented
