Job Title: DevOps Engineer - Python Scripting - Linux - Inside IR35
Location: Osterley (West London)/WFH
Salary/Rate: £500 Inside IR35
Job Type: Contract
Square One Resources are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer with strong Python Scripting experience to join a 6 month project with one of our leading Telecommunications companies.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives:
- Excellent EL Linux skills (RHCE or equivalent, RHCA-level specialisms/understanding if possible)
- VMWare Virtualisation experience (VCP level at least, on vSphere, vRealize Suite)
- Configuration control experience - Ansible and Terraform primarily, Puppet or other if not, in any case in combination with SCM
- AWS experience - 10-15% daily
- Scripting - Python, Bash - Essential
- Understanding of Agile process, CI/CD pipelines and development practices
- Understanding of FC, IP Networking
Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:
- Self-starting, will find improvements to make and run with them
- An emphasis on consistency, repeat-ability, automation and documentation
- An enthusiasm for new tools and methods to help shape the culture towards true DevOps
