Program Delivery Designer
Base Location: Expected to be M3 corridor
Working Pattern: Short term contract, 37 hours per week
About the Department
What is the Role?
As the Program Delivery Designer, you will provide delivery expertise into the bid process with the aim of a) helping develop a winning bid and b) preparing for the execution phase.
You will participate in the secure bid process by taking responsibility for all delivery specific input, work closely with the bid manager or business development lead in preparing for and participating in each formal governance process required to reach approval for execution of the project/programme.
As the process moves towards execution approval, take increasing responsibility for "delivery readiness" in order that once approved, the project/programme execution phase can start strongly and maintain regular communication with the Head of Major Programmes as the bid or business development progresses.
What do I need?

. Minimum 3 years responsibility as a Programme Delivery Designer for high value, strategic bids/customer programmes in a Telecoms business delivery environment.
. Strong understanding of the UK Telecoms market, business basics and common challenges for delivering change in a UK Telecoms business/secure environment.
. Experience of running projects/programmes deploying fibre technology.
. Proven experience of managing multiple 3rd parties to agreed outcomes.
. Strong understanding of the basic disciplines of programme financial management.
Essential Functional/Technical Skills
. Educated to degree level.
. Professional accreditation in project/programme management.
. Telecoms engineering background would be preferential.

. Pro-actively help permanent staff members of the bid team to evolve and develop thereby improving the Telecoms business delivery capability.
. Support the Bid Lead by contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the secure bid team.
. Demonstrate a natural inclination to thinking ahead thereby driving longer term delivery, efficiency and effectiveness.
. Communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
. Demonstrate a natural tendency to planning and being well organised.
