Description
We have a current opportunity for a .NET Developer on a contract basis. The position will be based in remotely.
- Trading/Commodities experience highly desirable
- Extensive experience developing efficient software using C# and .NET Core in a Windows environment
- Experience with relational database technologies such as SQL Server or Oracle
- Experience developing software using MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
- Ability to write complex SQL statements, design efficient indices and optimise query performance
- Knowledge of concurrent programming techniques
- An intuition for selecting appropriate data structures and designing efficient algorithms
- Familiarity with network programming concepts including socket programming and message queues
- Familiarity with Version Control Systems and modern CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of Python, Pandas and NumPy
- Knowledge of modern C++
- Experience developing software in a Linux environment
- Experience working with Petabyte scale datasets and Real Time data feeds
- Experience working with timeseries database technologies
- Experience of financial markets, especially energy trading
