Up to £260 per day
An experienced Server Administrator/Infrastructure Engineer is required by a large Manged IT Service Provider for their end client based in Edinburgh. You will be responsible for providing 2nd Line technical support, system monitoring, alert and capacity management as well as automating processes to reduce the number of manual interventions and handoffs.
To be considered we are looking for:
- 3 years minimum infrastructure service support for business critical systems
- Significant technology implementation and data centre level project experience
- Experienced in managing 3rd party suppliers
- Windows Server (2008 to 2019), VMware, Vcentre and vSphere knowledge and experience
- Experience with MS DNS AND DHCP as well as McAfee Anti-Virus, HP Proliant DL and BL server technologies, HP 3PAR and StoreVirtual SAN technologies
- VBScript and PowerShell Scripting
- Excellent problem resolution skills
- Customer focus and strong communication skills
- ITIL change management
