Security Architect (Outside IR35)

London/Remote

Up to £500 per day

Remote

With current Covid restrictions, work will begin remotely and adjust accordingly as the situation changes.

Digital Skills are working with a niche consultancy specialising in designing, building and continuously improving data enabling products. We are currently recruiting for a Security Architect to work closely with developers to build and deliver secure software using DevOps and cloud services, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS).

You will be working at the centre of a fast-paced project environment, working with senior stakeholders and critical technology infrastructure. You should have experience in similar environments and the ability to work at pace.

  • Manage and execute cloud security solutions and assurance across life cycle strategy, design, implementation, and operations.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and delivering security for cloud-native, distributed computing and architectural solutions with a principle of Secure by Design .
  • Experience in data protection, privacy in large-scale data environments, including leading data protection/privacy impact assessments.
  • Expertise in performing Threat Modelling, generating security architectural requirements to agile software development and product teams.
  • Define and lead external security testing (ITHC, PenTesting, etc) of solutions on the public cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP), cloud-native platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.), and Software as a Service solutions.
  • Establish security requirements for cloud-based solutions by evaluating business strategies and requirements, implementing security standards such as ISO 27000 series, NIST CSF, and CSA
  • Identify and deliver appropriate controls based on industry standards (eg CCM) to drive cloud and customer security solutions framework based on business risk and cloud native threats
  • Provide domain expertise in securing public cloud and enterprise technology.
  • Ability to identify and drive remediation of public cloud risks.
  • Continually evaluate new threats in the cloud, to identify the impact on IT and Business to develop and implement security controls.
