Description
Government client is seeking a Data Analyst/Architect to work on a data and traceability programme.
The Data Analyst/Architect will be responsible for:
- Document the current data landscape and associated applications
- Document and understand the data flows into and out of the current systems and its interfaces
- Document master data sources
- Gap analysis for data in current and new system
- Understand and catalogue data items from a business and technical perspective
- Understand data quality issues within the current system and document
- Understand and document data needed for added value propositions
- Document data understanding, create a business glossary and data dictionary of current system
- Discover the quality of the data, its structure, content and its limitations
- Work with and support other members of the Data team in reporting and Analytics'
- Support technical teams to consolidate data from multiple sources
- Consolidated and manipulate data for analysis to inform discovery
The Data Analyst/Architect must be experienced in:
- Data discovery and documentation
- Excellent proven experience of Datamodelling, mapping, data quality analysis, data flow mapping and lineage
- Working in an agile environment
- Flexibility and able to change focus when required
- Experience of working directly with databases and code sources to understand data usage and flow
- Experience of working closely with users to understand needs
- Good understanding of data sensitivity and data protection
- Experience of MS Azure Stack
Role is for 3 months initially; the office is in Reading but is remote based; outside of IR35.
