Business Finance Manager

The role of a Business Finance Manager focuses on providing support to the CFO, Finance Director and the Business Finance team. The Business Finance Manager will create value by improving the quality of decisions and ensure that a chosen Business strategy delivers the highest financial benefit at an acceptable level of risk.
This role will be the finance lead for a key efficiency project and will partner the cross-business project team at a critical time in the project life cycle as the project moves from design to deployment over the next 9 months.
The project provides the opportunity for the business to realise significant benefits and transform its current ways of working in Customer Delivery. This role will work closely with the project team and will lead on the preparation and review of the financial business case, including accurately identifying and reporting on project costs and benefits, whilst enabling robust challenge back to the project team where necessary. To enable this, timely project monthly reports for budget holders will be produced, including articulate variance analysis vs. plan. The role will also be responsible for preparing accurate cost and benefit forecasts along with identification and reporting of risks and opportunities, along with variance analysis to plan to enable any corrective action to be taken to enable the project to be delivered on time and within budget. The role will also support the project team in submitting drawdown requests for funding.

You will provide the following experience:
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in the business and Finance Operations/Group
Understand business strategy and its translation into financial impacts, and support its effective communication across Finance
Develop deep understanding of key drivers of revenue and costs, cashflow, and risks and opportunities and be conversant with the translation of commercial issues into financial impacts
inclusion in MBRs and FPRs etc).
Identify performance improvement interventions and design means of implementing associated changes. Facilitate relevant parts of the business to implement changes
Qualified accountant with previous financial control and project related finance experience in a large organisation preferred including:
Communication of analysis and insight across the business
Building financial models, creating robust forecasts and budg
