A prestigious law firm is on the search for a Project Manager contractor. This contract will be at least a yearlong. This position can be worked remote with occasional appearances in the office. This person will be a combination of IT and Business project manager. They are looking for someone with 10-15 years of experience. They will lead IT project but will need to articulate those projects to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- The role requires 10+ years' experience with a background in consulting, PMLC, business analysis and process design.
- Experience running the whole project life cycle from concept, design, testing, training, to leading the implementation of complex, medium to large scale projects is required.
- The PM is expected to complete multifaceted program and project assignments with limited direction and has the autonomy to make non-financial decisions and recommendations regarding assigned projects, in accordance with approved project scope, Firm policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
- The Project Manager will have accountability to drive the performance of cross-functional teams involved in the planning and delivery of projects.
- The individual must implement effective and efficient business solutions, perform management and oversight of complex projects, and provide ongoing strategic direction to project teams.
- The role requires critical thinking to facilitate open communications between team members, resolve issues between team member and stakeholders, and develop better solutions to problems.
- The PM is responsible for applying project management principles and practices to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- The PM is expected to work with limited guidance and understand how and when to escalate issue and risks with a solution-oriented approach.
