Data Engineer - Outside IR35
3/6-month contract
Up to £525 per day

Digital Skills are working with a niche consultancy specialising in designing, building and continuously improving data enabling products. We are currently recruiting for a Data Engineer who will support the development of a secure batch/Real Time data platforms leveraging the latest commercial and open-source technologies. This involves getting data from a variety of different sources, getting it into the right format, assuring alignment to target models, and ensures that users can get the data quickly for analysis.
- Background as a Python or Java developer
- You should be a SQL SME
- Schema design and dimensional Datamodelling experience.
- NoSQL databases experience
- Exposure to MapReduce or other MPP systems
- TDD using appropriate tools and frameworks.
- Experience working with Docker or any other containerisation tool.
- Experience working with RabbitMQ and Kafka for message queue systems.
- Experience working with tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Financial services sector experience.
