Job Description:
SAP Consultant
Above all, the consultant must find a solution to the customer's problem.
In most cases, he/she is experienced in a field, technology, sector (banking, insurance, distribution, etc.) or business function (production, marketing, sales, etc.). His/her functions can be split into three main steps:
Step 1: help users to express their expectations by analyzing the existing system.
Step 2: propose the solution best suited to GDF SUEZ's problem. This requires having an excellent understanding not only of GDF SUEZ and its businesses, but also of the competition and the IT market.
Stage 3: guide the completion of the project.
Consultancy with respect to information systems
Recommend ways to optimize the use of the tools and systems in place
Inform and make aware general management and business divisions about technologies and their benefits
Advise, analyze, evaluate the implementation of technologies, tools or application package
Assist the businesses or project owner
Provide guidelines and recommendations for the development and implementation of a project or solution
Participate in defining the general specifications of projects
Check the coherence of the applicative and functional architecture and of its development
Participate in evaluating and selecting software packages/solutions, technology or software tools
Participate in evaluating and selecting services
Assist the businesses or project owner in developing services computing
Make management recommendations as part of his/her project guidance duties
Participate in designing the guidance plan
Dispense training and coaching
Opportunity memo/emergence sheet (used to determine whether it is the right time to launch the project)
