Senior VMWare Engineer - London/Remote - Contract - £ Per day - 6-12 months duration
INSIDE IR35!
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Senior VMWare Engineer for a global organisation based in London, you will be fully remote to start with occasionally travel to London once lockdown restrictions are lifted.
You will be in the Virtualisation Team. It is a small highly technical team tasked with ensuring the server and virtualisation estate is operational, performance, secure and supportable.
Experience of platform migrations (ESXi/vCenter 6.5 to 6.7) is a must
The role will be required to implement, configure, support and operate the server and VMWare virtualisation estate, more specifically:
Skills:
- Experience of platform migrations (ESXi/vCenter 6.5 to 6.7)
- vSAN design, implementation and troubleshooting experience
- strong SRM/vSphere replication experience
- Strong VMware vSphere product experience in designing and engineering solutions
- Storage experience, preferably 3PAR
- Strong VMware product administration, hardening and troubleshooting experience
- PowerCLI/PowerShell Scripting skills and experience
Personal Skills
- Good telephone manner
- Full clean UK driving license with own vehicle
