Java Developer - Java Engineer - Data - Kubernetes - CI/CD - London - 6 months - £550/£600 (Outside IR35) - Immediate Starters

Our client is expanding and looking to add a data-oriented, Back End developer to the Platform Integration team. They are looking for someone who is interested in being part of a challenging fast paced big data team. The focus of the Integration Team is to develop state-of-the-art big data platforms connecting multiple sources, including various financial systems, REST services, CRM as well as documents and unstructured data

Individuals must have commercial experience in working with Wealth Management or Financial Services industries.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Java and/or Groovy
  • Hands on experience with Data, Data Orientated project and gaining Data
  • Commercial experience of working with UNIX
  • SQL and relational databases
  • Source control such as Git
  • Integration techniques
  • CouchDB
  • Memcached
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Must be attentive to detail and passionate about data
  • Be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work to build adaptors and APIs with multiple data sources
  • Work closely with Business Analysts and Project Team
  • Responsible for ensuring scalability and supportability of the platform
  • Liaise with production support team to address escalated issues
  • Work with multiple clients to assess and resolve data quality issues
  • Multi-task and work efficiently under pressure, with careful attention to detail
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize workload
