C#/.NET Contract - Manchester Remote
This is an initial 6 month contract that in inside IR35 working with a globally recognised brand. The business has a bunch of systems which were created in days gone by in .net technologies, an area which the company don't actively recruit for but are still vital to a few parts of the business, the long term plan is to rewrite these systems but for now they need maintaining and looking after.
However, for now they have a number of activities around these tools which they can't put off any longer. For example build and deploy to move to AWS standard build and deploy, using proprietary message bus and move them to some AWS technology and also for security updating operating systems.
Ideally this person will lay the ground work and help the health of the system to hand over and for the teams taking them over as a lot of knowledge has moved away.
Tech wise, .net technology is a must and ideally working in Web UI's, AWS Technologies for the deployment for EC2 instances and they want to use AWS deploy and code tools for this. Experience running operating systems is also key.
