Description
An industry leading educational service based in Nottingham, currently requires a Digital Data Manager for a 12 Month Contract, paying up to £416 per day via Umbrella. The role will be working from home, so we are open to all applications.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Senior Digital Product Manager to create and deliver the product data management strategy in line with overall digital strategy and wider business aspirations
- Self-motivated, ability to use initiative and manage/prioritise your own workload efficiently with a can-do attitude
- Administrate both the Production and Test Product Information Management (PIM) systems and data models ensure maximum uptime
- Work closely with the merchandiser and external agency to ensure that SEO requirements are met to increase our visibility within the major search engines by matching our data to demand
- Support in managing the integrations to all digital channels
- Proactively improve data (or image, etc) models to support the strategy
- Support the Senior Digital Product Manager to identify opportunities and drive forward the roadmap for the PIM system and associated data model improvements through automation and smart processes
- Write user stories and test scripts and work with both System Integrators and Developers on improving data management processes via automation where strong ROIs exist
- Project manage PIM system improvements
- Manage the relationship with PIM system provider to ensure change is delivered and SLAs are achieved
- Work closely with IT team on internal system and integration improvement projects
- Manage all aspects product data from creation through to EOL
Experience Required
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) preferably in an analytical or IT-related subject eg Mathematics, Business, Economics, Computer Science
- At least 2 years' experience of working a data management role using PIM systems (ideally inRiver PIM)
- Proven experience delivering projects on time, at the right quality and on budget
- Proven background working in a complex analytical product-based role
- Experience of working with large ERP databases or managing large data sets
- Knowledge of Catalogue Production processes would be preferable
- Enjoy and comfortable working with large data sets
- Manipulation of data using tools such as Excel, Alteryx, or SQL
- Strong commercial and business acumen
